2009/2010 Case Competition Winners: Bishops UniversityThe 2010 NIBS International Case Competition was hosted at the IBA, Kolding, Denmark from 6-13 March. As usual it was keenly but fairly fought. For students, coaches and administrators it was at times stressful and challenging but it was always fascinating and great fun – and a superb learning and social experience.
The competition was closer than it has been in some years, producing semi-finalists from Canada, Belgium and Ireland. The final was all-Canadian and won by the narrowest margin by Bishops University over Memorial University who have graciously offered to host the competition in 2011.
This year’s hosts - IBA - were able to invite several NIBS and other institutional partners during the Case Competition, enabling this wonderful international event to be seen by a larger audience. As a result, there should be at least two new entrants next year thus maintaining it as the world’s premier international undergraduate case competition.
More details and pictures from this year’s competition and link to an entertaining film made by the winning team can be found on the IBA web site
www.iba.dk.
We look forward very much to next year’s competition hosted by Memorial University.
